Popis: This chapter provides an overview of visceral pain conditions which are common in pain medicine. Abdominal pain, pelvic pain, vulvodynia, and proctalgia, as well as chronic pancreatitis and their complex underlying causes are listed. Key features in the assessment and management of visceral pain are outlined, and the role of gender and old age in visceral pain is described. Refractory angina pectoris is described as a separate topic. Definition, incidence, pathophysiology, aetiology, risk factors, diagnosis, and treatment are included for each condition.
