Metal Complexes with a New Ethyl Acetate Pendant-Armed Macrocyclic Ligand – Crystal Structures of [MnL](ClO4)2 and [NiL](ClO4)2·CH3CN

Popis: | A new ligand, L, bearing two ethyl acetate pendant groups has been synthesized by reaction of the precursor ligand LA with ethylbromoacetate. The coordination capability towards transition [Mn2+, Ni2+], post-transitional [Zn2+ and Cd2+] and Pb2+ ions has been investigated starting from the hydrated perchlorate salts of the metals. The new ligand L and the metal complexes obtained were characterized by elemental analysis, FAB MS, conductivity measurements, magnetic studies, IR, UV-vis and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Furthermore, the crystal structures of the complexes [MnL](ClO4)2 and [NiL](ClO4)2·CH3CN were determined. |
