Popis: | The important animal work by Ginai and colleagues (1984) reporting the effect of various contrast agents on the lung is most welcome. It vividly demonstrates the toxicity of barium sulphate suspensions in the lung. I should like to comment that the concentrations of metrizamide and ioxaglate used were both approximately twice the osmolality of plasma and that “physiological saline” is only physiological in its approximate osmolality. |
