Popis: | 1. In order to increase the strength of structures designed on peat foundation beds, the design values of ϕ of peat having a degree of saturation G=0.75–0.90 should be determined by taking into account the friction developed on the lateral surface of the penetrometer cone. 2. For peat, the values of ϕ determined from curves 1 and 2 of Fig. 2 should be considered as extreme values. |
