Popis: | We are using a novel bilayer deposition process to grow composite films of Au with YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-/spl delta//. The composites have well-separated regions of Au and YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7-/spl delta//, and we see no evidence for structural or chemical degradation of the grains and grain boundaries. For composite films on MgO substrates, the transport properties indicate the presence of weakened superconductivity in the films. Composites on SrTiO/sub 3/ and LaAlO/sub 3/ do not show this as strongly. The MgO composites behave like arrays of Josephson junctions and show promise as materials for flux flow devices. > |
