Popis: Exercise is a common triggers of bronchoconstriction in asthmatic and non-asthmatics, mainly after strenuous exercise. The cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in this response is poorly understood. Thus, this study investigated whether the bronchoconstriction observed immediately after completing a marathon by 31 male marathon runners occurred due to increased levels of exhaled nitric oxide (eNO), epithelial injury (increased epithelial detachment) and modulation of pulmonary immune system.
