This paper introduces a novel dynamic resource allocation model for efficient sharing of services provided by autonomous vehicles. A key contribution is the provision of capability to dynamically select sensors and platforms within constraints imposed by time dependencies, refueling and transportation services. The problem is modeled as a connected network of nodes and formulated as a MILP, with the objective of demonstrating and assessing solution fitness independent of solution time. The problem definition and novel formulation is presented with the intention of accommodating versatile civilian unmanned systems operations. Simulation results of an illustrative scenario demonstrate the ability of the model to plan for sensor selection, refueling, collaboration and cooperation between heterogeneous resources. The effect of varying the weight of operational cost vs completion time in the objective function is studied and the ability of the model to dynamically reallocate new requests is successfully demonstrated. |
