Popis: Flow-through microcalorimetry on chemical reactions with low reaction enthalpy at low concentrations needs a reactor volume considerably larger than 2μ1 to provide enough substance for sufficiently high signal levels. Additionally, in microcalorimeters using thin-film thermopiles the thermoelectrical signal output can be increased by simply enhancing the number of thermocouples connected in series. We present a flow-through chip calorimeter with a reactor volume of 10μ1 and a thermopower of 64 mV/K aimed at calorimetry on biochemical and especially enzymatically catalyzed reactions.
