Popis: | One of the services that the telecommunication operators provide is pre-paid plan which has a requirement that the management of assets needs to be updated during the call since they can not be invoiced later after the call. Prepaid customers prefer to have the shortest possible asset update intervals during the call, because the lesser the intervals, the lesser they pay for the unused asset items. The frequent use of these assets in individual customers is not a problem in terms of performance, but it is difficult for corporate customers using cloud VOIP infrastructure. It is really hard to scale the number of requests that can be processed within a specified period of time in situations where the same asset must be updated by multiple users. In this publication, using two of the most used technologies, PostgreSQL and Hazelcast, we offer a hybrid model in order to meet the increasing needs of updating common assets with performance and also avoiding the negative balance problem. The offered model allows processing 96,000 active calls in 1 second which is the minimum charging period over the common asset. |
