Popis: School psychologists are well positioned to address the behavioural and academic needs of all students through the provision of multi-tiered systems of support. Working as scientist–practitioners, school psychologists demonstrate knowledge and skills across psychological, educational, developmental and sociocultural contexts. School psychologists use this knowledge to collaborate and work alongside school leaders and educators to create strategies that support positive student behavioural functioning and academic success. This includes the development of universal systems of support, including social–emotional learning and positive behavioural interventions and supports, as well as targeted and intensive interventions that are designed to address the specific needs of individual students. School psychologists can use their knowledge of change management principles within schools to effectively implement programmes and interventions that work to improve academic and behavioural outcomes for all students.
