Popis: | We describe a technique of geometric and photometric corrections of high-resolution LROC NAC data at the level of NAC resolution. The technique does not exploit external DEMs, requiring solely LROC NAC images and LRO SPICE-kernels, i.e. a principle of self-orthorectification is realized. This significantly suppresses the topography influence on photometric data both in albedo and phase-ratio images. The proposed technique significantly expands the effectiveness of the phase-ratio method on the basis of LROC NAC data allowing the use of ratio components with similar illumination/observation (difference between solar azimuths is not more 30°) conditions not only exactly the same. The method also produces additional high-precision, high-resolution information about the topography of the lunar surface. We apply this to the area around a young 700 m crater (0.778°N, 132.95°W) located on the inner flank of the wall of the crater Hertzsprung S. We detect ejecta asymmetry around the crater, which shows that the impact creating the crater was oblique. We also found structures generated, perhaps, with wind-like processes during crater formation. |
