These individuals, families, communities, and societies suffer from conditions of war and violence, all of which can be considered human rights violations, including torture, rape, abductions, sexual violation, war wounds, deprivation of basic needs, ethnic cleansing, persecution and harassment, loss of home, loss of loved ones, premature death, and genocide. |
