Popis: | Conceptually, GPS geodetic surveying is a descendant of hyperbolic radio positioning systems such as LORAN and Omega, of the 'very long baseline' interferometry technique of radio astronomy, and of satellite Doppler tracking. Satellite Doppler positioning systems such as TRANSIT may have paved the way for GPS politically and economically, but conceptually they were strongly opposed to and probably retarded the development of GPS geodetic surveying. |
