Popis: | Stress echocardiography is a dynamic modality of evaluating the heart during pharmacologic or exercise stress. A basic understanding of exercise physiology and cardiac hemodynamics are essential to understand stress imaging. Stress echocardiography has proven to be overall safe with improved yield over standard exercise testing. The primary indication in adults is to discover evidence of inducible myocardial ischemia. Pediatric stress echocardiography is performed for two primary indications, evaluating cardiac hemodynamics as well as evidence of inducible myocardial ischemia. We performed a review of the current literature for pediatric stress echocardiography. |
