| Popis: | Although interest in Soviet art, architecture, and design has grown appreciably in recent years among Western historians of art, architecture, and culture, the results of the knowledge thus obtained do not appear as yet to have been sufficiently absorbed into the work of Western economists, sociologists, and political scientists. Dr. Hutchings’s work on Soviet design thus clearly stands apart from the mainstream of recent studies by Western Sovietologists in asserting the importance of design for examining and assessing Soviet affairs. |
