Popis:	The chemical composition of the essential oil of Aristolochia melanoglossa Speg. from Argentina was investigated by GC and GC/MS. The oil consisted mainly of sesquiterpenes and a small percentage of monoterpenes. A total of 26 compounds were identified. The major components found in the oil were spathulenol (17.75%), β-caryophyllene (17.70%) and caryophyllene oxide (11.27%).
