| Popis: | In order to engage our elderly citizens and promote communication, a base of shared meaning needs to be established. Commonality in beliefs, attitudes, values and experiences can serve as a secure base for interaction, since the expectation is that initial agreement leads to further agreement and understanding. In order to facilitate communication, familiar words and symbols, acceptable channels and credible sources can serve to bridge the generational gap and differences which otherwise will tend to isolate the elderly. |
