Popis:	Summary Tracing the history of the concept of residential treatment, this paper examines problems in its definition, identifies two core ideas that constitute the essence of the therapeutic modality, and shows how they provide a basis for understanding what unites the diverse programs that have been designated “residential treatment,” what sets them apart from other forms of inpatient care, and what differentiates them from one another.
