Popis: | Aiming construction of a recycling-oriented society, authors adapt a perspective of minimising environmental loads subject to maintaining the current level of economic activity. Based on this perspective, this study examines the zero-emission type “zero-waste-project” of Asahi Breweries, Ltd., in order to examine the feasibility of using such projects as a mechanism by which to induce a shift in the social state. Evaluating impact on Asahi itself, impact on environment, impact on Asahi's competitors, and impacts on waste treatment and recycling companies, followings are derived. First, the project is briefly concluded as a desirable mean for Asahi itself. Second, background of Asahi's successful implementation of the project is summarised to examine the feasibility of using such project. Third, framework to evaluate similar project is proposed through the Asahi's case study. Aggregating future case studies based on the framework, it is achievable to judge if the zero-emission type project in corporate sector has necessary condition as a driving force to induce a shift in the social state towards recycling-oriented society. Imaginable discussion and countermeasures are summarised to examine the further necessary condition of the driving force. |
