Binuclear copper(II) complexes bridged by N,N'-disubstituted oxamides containing thioether donor groups

Popis: The title complexes were prepared and characterized spectroscopically and magnetically. In the complexes of the type Cu2L2+ (H2L= N,N′-disubstituted oxamide, sulfur donor atoms being contained in the substituents) the deprotonated oxamides bridge two copper(II) ions symmetrically and the complexes are all magnetically subnormal at room temperature. The properties of these new complexes are compared with those of copper(II) complexes of similar substituted oxamides containing no sulfur donor.
