Surface tensions of some binary fused salt systems

Popis: The surface tensions of eight pure fused salts: NaNO/sub 3/, KNO/sub 3/, LiCl, NaCl, PbCl/sub 2/, KCl, and ZnCl/sub 2/ and nine binary mixtures: NaNO/sub 3/ --KNO/sub 3/, AgNO/sub 3/ --NaNO/sub 3/, AgNO/sub 3/ --KNO /sub 3/, NaCl -- KCl, PbCl/sub 2/ -- LiCl, PbCl/sub 2/ --NaCl, PbCl/sub 2/ --KCl, PbCl/sub 2/-- RbCl, and PbCl/sub 2/--CsCl were measured by the maximum bubble pressure method. Surface tension showed essentially linear variation with temperature in all cases. (W.L.H.)
