Popis: This article deals with the process of the induction hardening of a small machine part. We have cooperated on the design and production of a compact induction system for hardening of small machine parts with the company PEARTEC which develops and produces their own induction converters. The whole process included the production of a frequency convertor, a transformer, an inductor, the compact construction of a machine with an integrated cooling circuit for the cooling of the induction system, a cooling circuit with the hardening liquid for the hardening of machine parts including the collecting vessel, a feeder (feeding mechanism) for the machine parts and the distributor (distribution board) of the machine. The whole induction hardening system was optimized and the hardened machine parts were put to tests of hardness, the microscopic control of the hardened surface and a chemical material analysis of the machine part. The demanded functionality of the whole induction hardening system was verified in this way.
