Popis: | This paper1 presents a statistical analysis of wind potential of four locations at Adrar region in Southern Algeria (Adrar, B.B.Mokhtar, Reggane and Timimoun); we used the Weibull distribution to estimate the monthly, seasonal and annual wind energy produced by Whisper 200 wind turbines. Taking into account the location of these areas and the difference in air density, the treatment of the data collected (wind and temperature) every 3 hours. After calculated the wind energy, we estimated the quantity of equivalent fossil energy (natural gas, Gasoil and Gasoline), finally we estimated the quantity of CO2 that can be avoided. The annual electricity produced by wind turbines Whisper 200 range from 0.24 toe to 0.37 toe, that means we keep a quantity of natural gas range from 2401.25 m3to 3660.89 m3, If we give up diesel generators, it is possible to avoid burning a quantity of Gasoil range from 0.24 tons to 0.36 tons, in the case of gasoline generators, the depleted quantity ranges from 0.23 tons to 0.35 tons |
