Popis: | This study analyzed the structure of the subscores obtained through streamlined scoring of 334 adults' responses to Figural Forms A and B of the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT). The results of principal components analyses indicated that one general creativity factor adequately represented the subscores of both Form A and Form B. An empirical comparison of the factor structures of Form A and Form B indicated that these forms have an equivalent structure. The results of commonality analyses confirmed that the five subscores of each form provide very little unique variance and suggested that a new subscore, resistance to premature closure, may be a better indicator than fluency is of the divergent thinking skills measured by the figural TTCT. |
