Coupling currents and ac losses in superconducting cables under the non-uniform profiles of the applied magnetic field alteration rate

Popis:	Computations have shown the possibility for the non-uniformity of the applied magnetic field alteration rate profile at a superconducting cable to cause the increase of AC losses and cable coupling currents flowing along the strands. The paper presents the results of computer simulations of the effect in some cases typical for cables of tokamak-machines under operation and under the cable short sample tests.
