Popis:	Additional in situ tests were performed during July and August 1983 on the in-core instruments located in TMI Unit 2. These tests were intended to reduce the uncertainty associated with early test data and better define the extent of damage in the reactor vessel. The condition of the self-powered neutron detectors and the location of newly formed thermocouple junctions suggests the possibility that significant damage occurred in the central area of the lower reactor vessel. The extension cables associated with the in-core instruments appeared to be in generally good condition.
