Popis:	I devised an equation to predict weight gain in infants with birth weight 500 to 1500g, initially based on growth curves published by Wright(Pediatrics, 1993). This equation was then validated using all 177 appropriate-weight admissions to our NICU in 1994. Figure A shows Predicted v Measured Weight for the 5 birthweight groups. Figure B shows relative error of prediction expressed as percent for all infants (heavy line) and individual 200g-birthweight groups (thin lines). Equation
