Effect of tertiary amines on the solubility of aromatic polyamides in amide or amide-salt solvents

Popis:	The effect of α-picoline and of triethylamine on the solubility of aromatic polyamides in DMAc and in DMAc containing lithium chloride has been investigated. It has been found that the solubility of aromatic polyamides decreases with increase in the tertiary amine content of the solvent, and PMPIA does not dissolve in DMAc containing more than 3.5 moles/liter of triethylamine or 7.5 moles/liter of α-picoline.
