The cestodes of this study were selected from one of several lots collected in the Dutch East Indies by Dr. J. H. Sandgound (formerly Curator of Helminthology, Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard College) and presented to Dr. R. Chester Hughes. The label with the worms states that they were taken from Dendrocygna javanica (Horsfield) in Batavia in October 1938 and were preserved in seventy per cent alconol. For study the specimens, consisting of four complete and several fragmentary strobilae, were stained in Grenacher's borax carmine and mounted in toto in Clarite. |
