Popis: | In this paper, we present the behavior of magnetocrystalline anisotropy constants of the CorPt multilayer, as a function of temperature and external magnetic field, observed by means of a torque magnetometer in an in-plane configuration. The wx Co Pt multilayer is prepared by molecular beam epitaxy. We have determined the magnetocrystalline anisotropy ˚˚ 32 A 10 A 6 constants K , K , and K for different temperatures and in magnetic fields ranging from 2 to 10 kOe, taking into account u1 2 3 the angle difference between the directions of the external magnetic field and the magnetization. The most prominent result in this work consists of the need to introduce the anisotropy constant of third order in the analysis. q 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. |
