As the proportion of renewable energy generation continues to increase, the system's demand for flexible peak-regulation resources is increasing. In order to promote energy transformation, nuclear power and other power sources that originally only bear the base load will gradually share the burden of peak-regulation. With the advancement of nuclear power technology, its load-following performance has gradually improved. Nuclear power companies need to study their possible peak-regulation measures to prepare for the subsequent nuclear power to actively participate in the system load regulation. This paper explores the feasibility of nuclear-BESS hybrid systems for peak regulation and compares the economics under two different regulation modes ("alternative peak-regulation mode" and "joint peak-regulation mode"). The simulation results show that " alternative peak-regulation mode" has a better economy. |
