Popis: | New seismic suppression system has been developed. In this system, the structural elements absorbing seismic energy are provided completely apart from the parts supporting vertical load. Steel dampers and oil dampers are incorporated as the seismic response control devices. In case of earthquake, these energy dissipation devices act effectively and absorb seismic energy. As a result, high seismic performance can be obtained and a new architectural frame can be realized as well. This paper describes the outline of this new system and the application to an office building and this structural design. |
