Popis:	The Northern Maranon Basin is part of the prolific Oriente-Maranon hydrocarbon basin in the Andean eastern foreland. More than four billion barrels of oil have been discovered to date and reserve estimates indicate 4–7 billion barrels of oil in additional undiscovered potential (Figure 1).
