Popis: Pulsar digital backend is a key equipment for pulsar timing and searching observation, which digitizes the analog signal and processes the pulsar signal. The lucubration of pulsar research and rapid development of digital technology gradually leads to higher perform ance requirements of pulsar digital backend, such as faster sampling and real time processing along with wider bandwidth, higher time and frequency resolution. Based on main pulsar observation large aperture radio telescopes over the world, this paper reviews the development history and the current status of pulsar backends. After investigating and analyzing the existed and on developing pulsar digital backends, this paper conceives and discusses design scheme and development idea of QTT pulsar backend with RFSoC platform and GPU cluster system.
