Popis: | The nitrone DIPPMPO (5-diisopropoxyphosphoryl-5-methyl-1-pyrroline N-oxide) was synthesised, isolated as hygroscopic crystals and its X-ray geometry was determined. The purification of DIPPMPO was easy, compared with that of DEPMPO (5-diethoxyphosphoryl-5-methyl-1-pyrroline N-oxide) and its solutions in phosphate buffer were EPR silent. DIPPMPO exhibits all the advantages of DEPMPO for the spin-trapping of biological free radicals and thus DIPPMPO is a choice tool in this field. |
