Lifespan stages such as pregnancy, childhood, adolescents, adult age and old age are characterized by several components, influenced by national and global factors. Diversity means dimension, for example of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, social class, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, educational background and family status. Pregnancy is an example of a lifespan period which is associated with specific aspects. Data about this lifespan period can illustrate how interrelated lifespan and diversity aspects are. Age, besides many other diversity factors, can be an important diversity factor related to pregnancy. Important are always the definitions of the terms and scientific data used, the correlations and the conclusions. All lifespan stages are interrelated to aspects of mental health and vice versa. Bases for further development related to aspects of diversity and lifespan are, for example, human rights, protection, laws, regulations and the awareness of individuals, societies, national and international people in charge, stakeholders and decision makers. |
