Popis: | As the population ages, the number of displaced fractures of the proximal humerus in still-active patients is increasing. In three- or four-part displaced fractures emiarthroplasty is the first indication, but results aren’t always satisfactory and predictable. The inverted prosthesis of Grammont works only with an intact deltoid muscle, but, in selected complex proximal humerus fractures, this prosthesis is considered to be a superior treatment option for elderly patients. |
