| Popis: | This report describes a case of tracheal stomal recurrence of a primary upper tracheal squamous carcinoma treated by external radiation and local stomal irradiation, using an iridium-192 loaded laryngectomy tube. The brachytherapy technique, as described, is relatively simple and inexpensive, allowing for wide application. It also appears to be effective in delivering desirable dose patterns with a low risk of complications. |
