Easy bike (EB) has become a common and popular electric vehicle in the public transportation system in Bangladesh. EBs use batteries and travel in short distance. The batteries of easy bikes must be charged which requires charging stations usually for long distance travelled. Charging stations for EBs and sustainable electricity are big challenges for our government at the present time. This paper introduces a modern commercial charging station for EBs that takes almost energy from renewable energy sources which include photovoltaic (PV) power generation system and energy storage system. An emergency grid back-up system is also implemented to face uncertain situations. Reflex charging method is used instead of conventional charging method to reduce charging duration and ensure safe charging. An intelligent energy management system and smart prepaid meter will make this charging station more effective. |
