Popis: | Molecular and biochemical markers offer a unique tool for e.g. description of variability and studying interesting traits in the course of a breeding program. They can help to understand inheritance and behaviour of physiological characteristics under different environments if the degree of linkage is strong enough. For the calculation of linkage an unequivocal genetic analysis of banding patterns is necessary. After selfing heterozygous plants a 1:2:1 or 3:1 segregation for codominant or dominant inheritance is expected. Deviations from these relations are hints for selection mechanisms like e.g. chlorophyll-deficiency or self-incompatibility (SI) genes. |
