Popis:	Results of the clinical study on the prevalence of hyperuricemia and its association with cardiovascular pathology in elderly patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and in patients with CAD younger than 60 years are presented. Increased serum level of uric acid was observed in 37.4% of the 320 elderly patients. Hyperuricemia more frequently occurred in women (41.5% of the cases) than in men (25%) (p=0.02).
