Popis: | An n-type semiconductor, MnO2 has drawn fabulous attention due to their significant relevance in supercapacitors. In this paper, one-dimensional (1-D) nanostructured β - MnO2 nanorods have been synthesized via a facile one-step hydrothermal method without any surfactant. The crystallographic information of the as-prepared products was established by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD). Average crystalline size of the sample estimated using Scherer formula and Williamson–Hall analysis were found to be 32 nm and 35 nm respectively. The functional groups present in the sample were examined using FTIR spectroscopy. The morphological analysis and elemental composition of the as prepared β - MnO2 was performed in terms of high resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Dielectric studies were carried out in a Hioki make LCR Hi-Tester 3250 at a temperature of 300K over a wide range of frequencies from 50 Hz to 5 MHz. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor were found to decrease rapidly in the low frequency region and became almost constant in the high frequency region. The ac conductivity values show weak frequency at lower applied frequencies and exhibits strong frequency dependence at higher frequencies |
