Popis: As a grooved substrate for magneto-optical disc, we have developed a vinylester casting substrate: this substrate features excellent optical characteristics, high resistance to heat, dust-free performance, high resistance to chemicals and good moldability. For curing acceleration of resin, microwave heating is employed, thereby reducing the molding time to 15 minutes or less. As a comparison result of recording/readout characteristics for vinylester substrate disc with those for glass substrate disc, high characteristics have been obtained; equivalent characteristics or higher, that is, C/N = 54dB (domain length: 0.9µm), BER ∼ 10-5.
