The half-life of the 69 keV first excited state in Po207 has been determined to be 205±10 ns using a time-to-pulse-height converter to measure alpha-electron delayed coincidences. The 69 keV E2 ground state transition, interpreted as p 1 2 → f 5 2 , is retarded by a factor of eight as compared to the corresponding one in Pb207. |
