Popis: This chapter examines how fully compressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics schemes perform in benchmark shock propagation problems. These problems involve media with discontinuous density distribution, discontinuous material parameters, as well as different functional forms of the equation of state. Validation is against exact solutions or solutions obtained with the more-established multimaterial arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian method.
