Popis: | The degree of swelling of a polymer hydrogel depends on the aqueous solution in which it is immersed, among other factors. When a volume phase hologram is engraved in a hydrogel film, the dependence of its diffraction efficiency on osmosis in saline solution can be used as a probe for measuring the concentration of the solute. The sensitivity of this in-line control technique is better than 20 mg of KBr. |
