Popis: | Deepwater unconfined lobe depositional systems are important reservoir targets. High drilling cost and subsalt imaging greatly limit the quantity and quality of data. In the absence of sufficient data, analog architectural studies have identified a variety of potentially important reservoir quality related geometries and trends resulting from the well-understood depositional processes. Internal lobe trends (proximal, dominated by amalgamated sands, to distal, dominated by non-amalgamated sands) impact horizontal connectivity and coupled with compensational lobe stacking impact vertical connectivity (alternating proximal and distal lobe components are superimposed locally). |
