95Mo NMR studies of LaMo6Se8 in the superconducting state: vortex lattice and penetration depth

Popis: The Chevrel phase LaMo6Se8 has been studied between 15 and 4.2 K by 95Mo NMR spectroscopy. No shift of the spectral line was observed between the normal and the superconducting states, indicating a magnetic susceptibility dominated by a spin-orbit mechanism. The lineshape in the superconducting state was simulated by convolution of the normal state spectrum and the magnetic field distribution calculated with London's equations for a type-II superconductor. The penetration depth λ was estimated to be about 1500 A at 4.2 K.
