Popis: | Collagen corneal cross-linking is an acceptable method for halting the progression of keratoconus and post-Lasik ectasia. The traditional method advocates the removal of epithelium for proper saturation of riboflavin within the stroma. The postoperative complications associated with epithelial removal have necessitated the search for a transepithelial method of riboflavin delivery. Controversies aroused with regard to the effectiveness of this approach. In this article, we review the up- to-date literature on this controversial subject.
