Popis:	The work presents difficulties occuring in investigations of roughness of porous materials, and describes application of the immersion method of holographic interferometry for this purpose. Examples of contour maps for bearing surface are shown in various phases running-in. The run-in bearing sleeve shows out-of-roundness error, which results in local micro-flows of oil within the area of a few grains. The erosive smoothing of surfaces of some valleys was observed with surfaces of pores remaining unchanged.
